See You Soon Grammie

On April 6, 2016 at 3:00 am at the Borderview Nursing Home in Van Buren, Maine, Glenda Smith was escorted by angels to her heavenly home at the age of 89. She died peacefully with no pain after spending four months in the nursing home where she received excellent, loving care.

This week has been extremely busy with funeral arrangements, arriving family, and many other details that accompany the death of a loved one. After the celebration of her life at Caribou Assembly of God on Saturday, family and friends gathered to share memories.

Some of Grammie Smith’s favorite sayings which she will be remembered for:

“Sad and blue”

“Keep safety on your mind”

“Boohoo”

“Eat slow and enjoy it”

“Turd bird”

“Should’ve Had It Toasted”

“Crickety-Crackity”

Out of respect and in memory of my Mother-in-law, I will not be publishing motorsports news for this week. I will be back next week with more motorsports news.

So long Grammie Smith until we meet again. I love you.

Let’s go racing,

Tom Hale
